Dear Learner

Welcome to the 2010/2011 Ullswater Community College Adult Community
and Continuing Education Programme. The brochure this year also contains
course listings for the 5 centres within Eden Valley.

I am delighted to invite you to enrol in our Centre. Centre staff are working
ceaselessly to broaden the range of courses and to put in place a range of
measures designed to support successful, enjoyable and high quality teaching and learning.

The Centre has to provide a range of courses to meet the Government's plans to broaden skills and employability. We take seriously that responsibility. Equally we are conscious that local need might not be entirely in line with central government so we offer some courses which are supported solely from our own resources. We are determined to support the courses you want.

We also want to offer you a wide range of learning opportunities which meet your needs as you seek to upgrade your own skills for the workplace.
With a wide variety of courses on offer this year you have a rich choice
available as you build your own skills, knowledge and vocational or academic qualifications or pursue broader leisure interests.
