Students

Growing up is all about making choices – little ones and big ones. Sometimes we put a lot of time and effort into little decisions (like what to wear) and not enough into the big decisions – like what we want to do with our futures.

This section of the website is to help you with the some of the choices you have to make at school – where to go, what to study, when to do it.

The three links for Y9, 11 & Y13 Futures are there to show you some of the options you can choose at the end of those years. Check them out and good luck.

Are you in Year 12 and thinking about going to college or university?

As the fastest growing university website and with the most extensive university and HE/FE institutions listings (more than UCAS), Uni360 is a fantastic resource for new students.  Please take some time to look at our site on www.uni360.com.

You go Further

UCAStv is the latest way for applicants to get all the information they need about applying for higher education. The service, which UCAS launched in July 2008, provides online guides and resources that applicants can use to help them apply and make decisions about their application.

A guide to using ‘yougo’ has recently been added to UCAStv – it explains exactly what  yougo is and how your students can register for the website.  It can help you promote yougo to your students by simply asking them to watch the video.

You can view the video on www.ucas.tv or on any of the yougo pages on www.ucas.com

As well as the yougo video, UCAStv is full of ‘how to’ guides, case studies and video diaries to help students through the UCAS process and help alleviate any fears they may have about what they have to do whilst applying for university or college.

If you have any questions regarding yougofurther please contact Gillian Stokes on g.stokes@ucas.ac.uk or via phone on 01242 544804.
